Working with business stakeholders and the design, analytics team to deliver multiple projects.
The design director should possess a deep knowledge of the range and capabilities of modern web technologies, together with strong project management and design skills gained in an agile, digital environment and good interpersonal and communications skills.
Manage product backlogs, develop roadmaps and release schedules, and proactively manage risks and issues. Work with users and the business to define requirements.
Provide the critical link between the user interface (UI), content and software development teams and ensure that design changes and new features are defined in the most appropriate ways for front end and back end developers.
This is a client-facing role.
Must-Have
Significant project management and UI design experience in a web/digital context, using primarily agile methods, and working on projects of various sizes and complexity.
Experience of delivering web content management systems and large, complex websites.
Experience of directing and motivating staff not under direct line management responsibility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships.
Ability to self-manage time and work schedule.
Strong desire to learn, comfortable in a fast-moving environment and a multi cultural team.
BS/MS degree in design/relevant field and 6-9 years or more experience in managing delivery of large-scale web projects.
